Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor with a passion for documentary filmmaking, TV spots, and government films. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting impactful visual stories by selecting and editing footage from our in-house database. This role involves working closely with our cinematography team to bring narratives to life and contribute to the success of our productions.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize proficiency in video editing software to create compelling films, TV spots, and government films.
- Collaborate with the in-house cinematography team to understand and meet project requirements.
- Select appropriate footage from the company’s extensive database to match the narrative and concept of each project.
- Demonstrate a keen sense of storytelling through video editing, ensuring mass targeting concepts suitable for national news channels.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance editing techniques and creative capabilities.
- Meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new project ideas and approaches.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably in documentary, TV spot, or government film production.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the cinematography team and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of mass targeting concepts and audience preferences for national news channels.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for selecting appropriate footage to enhance storytelling.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work on a stable, long-term basis.
